Most bathroom failures aren't design failures — they're water failures. We build the waterproofing first and the beautiful part second, which is why our showers are still dry a decade later.
01 — Scope

We take bathrooms at any size. The small jobs get the same layout care as the big ones — that's usually what people notice first.
One crew, start to finish. Demo, plumbing rough-in, waterproofing, tile, fixtures, glass and the final caulk line — no handing you between three companies and no gaps in the schedule.

Tub-to-shower conversions
The most requested job we do. Old tub out, curb or curbless pan in, walls tiled full height, glass fitted. Typically 7–10 working days.

Full gut renovations
Down to the studs and subfloor. New layout, moved plumbing, vanity, lighting, exhaust, tile and glass — one contract, one schedule.

Shower rebuilds & leak repairs
Failed pan, cracked grout at a change of plane, water in the ceiling below. We diagnose the actual cause instead of caulking over it.

Tub & surround re-tile
Keep the tub, replace everything around it. Fast, cost-effective, and the single biggest visual upgrade per dollar in a guest bath.

02 — Under the surface
The five things we won't skip.
If a bid comes in dramatically cheaper than ours, one of these is missing. Ask which one.

Cement board, not drywall
Green board behind tile in a wet area is a slow-motion failure. We use cement backer or a foam board system, fastened to spec.
- 02
Bonded waterproofing over everything
Two coats across every wall and corner, seams banded with reinforcing fabric, valve and pipe penetrations sealed individually.
- 03
A pre-sloped, flood-tested pan
Quarter-inch per foot to the drain. We plug the drain, fill the pan and leave it overnight before a single tile goes down.
- 04
Movement joints where they belong
Soft joints at every change of plane and around the perimeter. Grout is not glue — it cracks when it has to absorb movement.
- 05
Niches built into the framing
Not surface-mounted boxes. Framed, waterproofed, sloped for drainage and tiled with mitred returns so you never see a raw tile edge.

Every bathroom is different, but you deserve a starting point instead of "it depends". These are typical Tampa ranges for our work — your written estimate is itemised and fixed.
Tub surround re-tile
$2,400 – $4,500
Tear-out, backer, waterproofing, tile to ceiling, new valve trim, grout and caulk. 2–4 days.
Tub → walk-in shower
$7,500 – $14,000
New pan and drain, full waterproofing, niche, bench optional, tile, valve and glass. 7–10 days.
Full gut renovation
$15,000 +
Studs-out rebuild, moved plumbing, new vanity, lighting, exhaust, floor and glass. 2–3 weeks.
What moves the number: tile format and material (large-format and natural stone cost more to set), whether plumbing has to move, glass type, and how much rot or bad framing we find behind the old tile. We flag all of it in writing before we start — you'll never get a surprise mid-job.
05 — Bathroom questions
What people ask us first.
Will I lose my only bathroom for two weeks?
We sequence single-bathroom homes differently: demo and rough-in happen fast, and we reset the toilet at the end of each day wherever the plumbing allows. Realistically you'll lose the shower for the duration, but rarely the toilet and sink for more than a day or two. Tell us on the estimate and we'll plan around it.
Curbless shower — can my house take one?
Sometimes. It depends on your floor structure: a slab-on-grade home usually needs the concrete recessed, and a raised wood floor needs the joists dropped or a linear drain against the wall. Both are doable, neither is free. We'll tell you honestly on site whether it's a $600 detail or a $4,000 one in your particular house.
Can you match tile to something I've seen online?
Almost always. Bring us a photo — most designer looks have a porcelain equivalent available through Tampa suppliers at a fraction of the price. That agate glass band and the marble-and-metal lattice in our gallery are both examples of that.
Do you handle the glass shower door?
Yes. We template after tile is set and grouted, and coordinate the fabricator directly. Frameless glass typically adds 7–10 days after tiling — that gap is the fabricator's, not ours, and we schedule it into your timeline up front.
What if you find rot behind the old shower?
In Tampa we find it fairly often. We stop, photograph it, and price the repair before continuing — you approve it in writing. We'd rather have an awkward conversation on day two than tile over a rotten stud.
